Bioparco di Roma

The Zoological Gardens play a fundamental role in guaranteeing the conservation in nature of species threatened with extinction. To this end, the Bioparc is a member of EAZA - European Union of Zoos and Aquariums - and of WAZA - World Union of Zoos and Aquariums - and collaborates internationally with many institutions engaged in the conservation of endangered species. The Bioparc pursues the conservation of endangered species through awareness-raising actions, adherence to international conservation campaigns and European captive breeding programs.
